Welcome to all the Newcomers!

We are glad you found us. If becoming a member of this list is your first exposure to DA you have taken the first courageous step. It gets better from here if you work the program. Although the list provides all of us the ability to share in our recovery it is strongly encourage to attend face-to-face (F2F) meetings if at all possible. In doing so, it will provide you with a greater understanding of what DA is all about.

D A definitions, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), etiquette for this list, and member recommended reading materials are on this web page.

If you are completely new to DA, we recommend that you first read the DA Notes to Newcomers. It is available at: http://www.debtorsanonymous.org/help/getting_started.htm

If you have any questions feel free to email at: owner-dont-debt@dontdebt.org

Vacations or Away from List:

If you are on the list, and planning to go on a vacation where you will be unable to read your email, the listmom requests that you contact her at the email address above, so that you can be shifted to digest mode. This will help you to not fill up your email account while gone and she will you switch back as soon as you return.

Note:

Because of the unique format of our meeting (cyperspace), we recommend that you exercise prudence and caution if you choose to disclose personal information when posting or if you choose to make personal contact with other members from this meeting. Free accounts can be obtained from gmail.com, yahoo.com, and other sources. With these accounts it is really a simple thing to keep your identity secret. We are an anonymous meeting, so what we say in a meeting should stay in a meeting, and we should never disclose the names of members from one meeting to another or repost their messages.
